He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Young and Elizabeth "Betty" Young (Pfister); his former wife Caroline Young (Seifert); and his siblings, Martin "Gene" Young, Norma Holzinger and Carol Groves.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Jeffry Young (Theresa) of Huntington, IN, Cathy Young of Grand Rapids, MI, Cynthia Niswander (late David Niswander) of Huntington, IN and John W. Young (Stacey) of Huntington, IN; his sister Janet (Johan); and his sister-in-law Jacklyn Young of Huntington, IN. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peter & Paul Catholic Church (860 Cherry St, Huntington, IN 46750). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to SS.
