She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Johnson and Delphia Johnson (Bryant); her husband Tom E. McDowell; and her siblings, Maime Howell, Levi Johnson, Ova Johnson, Laurie Lovejoy, Mildred Mitchell, Miller Johnson, Marylin Johnson, Betty Isaac, Allen Johnson and Robert Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Steffon Glen McDowell and Patricia Morse of Huntington, IN; her brother Evergit "Big Boy" Johnson (Susanna) of Huntington, IN; and her sister-in-law Larya Johnson of Huntington, IN. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
