She was predeceased by: her parents, Pink Clines Elliot and Esta Lea Elliott (Osborne); her former spouse Ishmell Tackett; her son Paul Tackett; and her sisters, Sharon Kay Johnson, Joyce Lafferty, Dottie Johnson Geraldine, Maxine and Venda Gaye Elliott.
She is survived by: her fiancé David L. Schnitz of Huntington, IN; her sons, Mathew Tackett of Huntington and Mark Tackett of Huntington; and her sister Judy Morgan (Bryan) of Clay City, KY. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home (715 N Jefferson St, Huntington, IN 46750). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Lancaster Cemetery (5999 S 300 W, Huntington, IN 46750).
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paradigm Hospice in care of McElhaney Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson St. Huntington, IN 46750.
