He was predeceased by: his mother Mattie Winnie Bardwell (Hubbert); his sister Donna Demby (Bardwell); and his siblings-in-law, Hugh Demby, Kenny Greenwell, Maxine Greenwell (Fawcett) and Faye Shobe (Fawcett).
He is survived by: his wife Dora Bardwell (Fawcett) of Huntingburg; his son Brett Bardwell; his daughter-in-law Sarah Bardwell (Winkler) of Huntingburg; his son Cameron Bardwell; his daughter-in-law Amy Bardwell (Sermersheim) of Newburgh; and his grandchildren, Cade Bardwell, Maria Bardwell, Ellie Bardwell and Laney Bardwell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation to Huntingburg First Baptist Church be considered.
