We bid farewell to Lester G. Merkle of Hudson, Indiana, born in Van Wert, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 9, 2024 at the age of 91. Lester touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Merkle and Victoria Merkle (German); and his wife Rose J. Campbell. He is survived by: his children, Richard Merkle (Jody) of Van Wert and Vickae Meenach of Vail; his grandchildren, Abby Stemen (Derek) of Lima, Troy Merkle (Ciersten Deardorf) of Ohio City, Jenna Meenach of Vail and Jaryd Meenach of Marina de; his great grandchildren, Eliza, Leah and Drew Stemen; his sisters, Irene Lutz (Carl) and Helen Marbach (Richard); his nephew William F. Campbell (Dee); and his pet Spike.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (10275 E 550 S, Hudson, IN 46747).
