It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Leroy Shire of Hudson, Indiana, who passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Shire and Hildred Shire (Clark); his wife Joy Dottie Lavender; his son Randy Shire; his grandson Calob Mikel Musser; and his siblings, Mary Jean Saffen, Ted Shire, Robert Shire and Russel Shire.
He is survived by: his children, Sally Bala (Stan) of Parma, Michigan, Gary Shire (Tracy) of New Sacramento and Jeff Shire of Ashley; his grandchildren, Jerik Shire, Amber Shire, Zachary Musser and Jeremy Beechler; and his sister Laura Lee Smith of Hudson. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
