He was predeceased by: his parents, Ealie Burton and Bonnie Burton; his wife Betty Hancock; and his siblings, Elmo, Rosemary, Shirley, Leon and Hulis Burton.
He is survived by: his sons, Randall Burton (Cynthia) of Columbus and Russell Burton (Diane) of Hope; his grandsons, Eric Burton (Courtney) of Columbus and Craig Burton of Hope; his great grandchildren, Elayna, Calissa Burton of Columbus, Morgan and Lauren Burton of Hope; and his siblings, Jerry Burton (Eloise), Nella Lamb of Whiteland, Jodi Burton of Columbia, KY, Robert Burton (Pat) of Columbia, KY, Brenda Deal (David) and Edgar Burton (Christine) of Columbia, KY. He is also survived by several brother and sister in laws and nieces and nephews.
