He is survived by: his wife Sharon Mote; his children, Cathy Johnson (Danny R.), Scott Mote (Susan) and Justin Mote; his grandchildren, Brooke Henderson (Kevin), Tanner Henderson, Derek Johnson (Megan), Tyler Mote (Danielle), Ryan Mote (Mackenzie) and Katie Wilkerson (Taylor); and his siblings, Carol Tatman and Bob Mote (Norma). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Myers-Reed Chapel (3729 25th St, Columbus, IN 47203).
