He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Carter and Dorothy Robertson Carter. He is survived by: his children, Rob Archer of South Bend, Piper Spurgeon (Jon) of Trafalgar, Dustin Carter of Tampa, FL. and Ryan Archer (Liz) of Edinburgh, Indiana; his grandchildren, Zachary, Lexi Archer, Jeremy Collins (Heather), Megan Hogan, Lane, Haley Spurgeon, Lauren Carter, Maddy, Carly Archer, Eli Smith and James Robbins; his great grandchildren, Emily, Braxton and Katie Lynn; and his brother David Carter of Denmark. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Norman Funeral Home (604 Main St, Hope, IN 47246). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Norman Funeral Home (604 Main St, Hope, IN 47246).
