He was predeceased by: his mother Maria Furtado (Dos Anjos); and his siblings, Jose Furtado and Duarte Furtado. He is survived by: his spouse Veneranda Fatima Furtado (Dovale); his father Manuel F. Furtado; his sons, Steven Furtado (Jodi) of Warren and Erik Furtado (Stephanie) of East Providence; his grandchildren, Riley, Mason and Travis; and his stepgrandchildren, Layla and Alanna. He is also survived by his family, friends.
