He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Branson and Jannie Branson (Pratt). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Branson of Holton; his stepchildren, Lisa Walker (Andrew) of Scottsburg and Christopher Carmer (Ciera Kerker) of Versailles; his brother Roy Branson of Holton; his grandson Scott Bowman (Kaylah) of North Vernon; his great grandchildren, Annalyn Bowman of North Vernon and Brody Bowman of North Vernon; and his niece Jannie Jackson (Matt).

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the American Diabetes Association.
