It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elson Downey of Holton, Indiana, born in Milan, Indiana, who passed away on February 24, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Elson and Virginia Rose Shinkle Downey; and his sister Linda Downey. He is survived by: his children, Floyd Elson Downey of Osgood, James Lawrence Downey (Marlene) of Holton, Elson Larry Downey II (Kaycee) of Holton and Joyce Marie Muckerheide (Thomas) of Osgood; and his siblings, Ronald Downey (Nancy) of Holton, Allen Downey (Christina) of Versailles, Terry Downey of Osgood, Joyce Peters of Brownstown and Phyllis Neighbert of Holton. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
