He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stephen J. Balash and Mary Jane Moody Balash; his wife Jeannie; his daughters, Stefanie Osika (Craig) of Hobart and Heather Balash Overturf of Wheatfield; his grandchildren, Ava and Elle Osika; his brothers, Joe Balash (Tammy) of North Carolina and Fred Balash (Kathy) of Spencer; and his parents-in-law, Barb Nabhan, Judy Biggs (Dennis), Joel Wesley (Cherie), Jane Augustin (Horst), Joanie Boyd (Richard) and Jan Nastoff (late Robert). He was also cherished by two daughters, loved telling typical "dad".
