He was predeceased by: his father Richard Dean Sanders II; his brother Gregory Paul Sanders; and his grandparents, Patricia Knight and Richard Sanders. He is survived by: his mother Leslie Sanders (Terry Hough) of Hobart; his sisters, Clare Springman (Kris) of Westville and Lauryn Sanders (Jameson Givan) of Portland, OR; his son Richard Jakobe Sanders; his stepson Walter Todd; his sister-in-law Ruth Ann Sanders (Nate Buckley); his nieces, Gwen Sanders and Madison Buckley; his nephew Clayton Buckley; and his grandparents, William Knight and Penny Bryant (Tom). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dean's son, Richard Jakobe Sanders.
