He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eugene Layton and Marjorie Layton (Nenn); his wife Barbara Layton (Knight); his son Brandon Collins of Hobart; his stepson Ricky Koenigseder of Hobart; his daughter Donna Brandy of South Carolina; his siblings, Merry, Rilla, Kathlyne Layton, Patrick, David and James Layton; his nieces, Vanessa and Cindi; his close friend Jack Shafer; his former wife Virginia; and his siblings, Jeannie and Bill Layton. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
