He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Benka and Anne Benka; his in-laws, Delos and Eileen Swallow; and his brothers-in-law, Tom and Charles Swallow.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Benka; his children, Christopher Benka and Tina Benka-Pavlou (Chris); and his sisters, Joan Yurko and Diane (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause dear to Michael's heart.
