It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Sears of Hobart, Indiana, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on January 17, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harlan Nickell and Annie Nickell (Bunnell); and her siblings, Nancy Nickell and Michael Nickell. She is survived by: her children, Scott Sears (Rhondalynn) and Pamela Moore (Clayton); her sister Linda Coates (Thomas); her niece Amanda Richmond (Kenny); and her grandchildren, Adam Moore (Jackie Capollilo), Courtney Musch (Kyle), Ryan Sears (Brianna Meade), Matthew Sears and Nicholas Sears.
