She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Jarosak and Anna Jarosak; her husband John R. Thyen; her son-in-law Kenneth Vega; and her siblings, Theodore Jarosak, Joseph Jarosak, John Jarosak, Larry Jarosak, Paul Jarosak, James Jarosak, Mary Mueller and Thomas Jarosak.
She is survived by: her children, Mark S. Thyen of Chesterton, IN, Angela M. Moench (Gene) of Boone Grove, IN and Christine A. Vega of Crown Point, IN; and her sisters-in-law, Rachel Jarosak, Connie Jarosak, Rosemary Thyen and Jane Krause (Jim). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations in Joan's honor may be made to St. Vincent De Paul.
