He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus and Eva Cantu, Sr. (Maldonado); and his wife Bonnie Lou Cantu. He is survived by: his daughters, Erika Boston (Michael) of Charleroi, PA, Jessika Cantu (Ashley) of Hobart and Elizabeth Haynes (Edward) of Hobart; his grandchildren, Anthony, Mariah, Jarred, Brandon, Leigha, Jordan, Dessa, Micah, Lukah, Tripp, Jaxon and Cooper; his great grandchild Giovanni; and his uncles, George Maldonado (Diane) of Valparaiso and Jesse Maldonado (Nilsa) of Hobart.
