It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Whaley Sr. of Hobart, Indiana, born in Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on October 29, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur George and Alvera Whaley (Klindworth); and his siblings, Richard Whaley (Maureen), Patricia Ginger (Laverne) and Suzanne Alvera Whaley.
He is survived by: his sons, Jay Whaley, Jr. (Anecita), Danny Whaley (April) of Francesville and Arthur Whaley (Laura) of Sheridan; his close friend Cindy Wright; his grandsons, Eric and Adam; and his sisters, Betty Camper (Tom), Eileen McPhinnis (Mack), Mary Sexton (Russell) and Phyllis Fields (David).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family or a charity of the donor's choice.
