She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas D. Gottlieb; her parents, Nina Schafer and Howard Schafer of Bremen; and her sister Connie Ullery of Bremen, Indiana.. She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Palmer of Fishers and LaVonda Gottlieb Gibson of Granville. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Porter County 4-H.
