It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Johnson of Hobart, Indiana, born in Michigan City, Indiana, who passed away on May 23, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Johnson and Velma Grace Johnson; his daughter Amy Christine McCord; and his sister Jan Wagner. He is survived by: his wife Patty; his pets, Bella and Chase; his children, Matthew Johnson (Jodi), Anthony Malesevic and Katie Grace Gallagher (Ryan); his sister Judy Tharp (Don); his grandchildren, Blakely Johnson, Summer, Josh, Christian, Roland, Analise, Mosiah, Genevieve, Rebecca, Virginia, Declan McCord and Issac Gallagher; and his son-in-law Scott McCord.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Moraine House in Valparaiso (353 Lincolnway, Valparaiso, IN 46383).
