He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivor R. Coons and Theresa M. Coons; and his sisters, Mary Boby and Susie Koulianos. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Coons of Valparaiso, IN; his children, Julie Remschneider (Doug) of Valparaiso, IN, Ivor John Coons Jr. (Janelle) of Northglenn, CO and Jackie Skaggs (Shawn) of Valparaiso, IN; his siblings, Joe Coons (Diane), Rick Coons (Diane), Jeff Coons (Sherri), Jim Coons (Sabra), Peggy Coons and Rose Purser; and his grandchildren, Julian Reynolds, Lily and Logan Skaggs.
Due to Covid 19 all services will be private.
