He was predeceased by: his parents, DeWitt Hoskins and Myrtle Hoskins; his wife Lavenia Jean Hoskins; and his brothers, Charles and Louis.

He is survived by: his son John Hoskins (Mary); his grandsons, Kirby and Charlie Hoskins; and his sister Pearl Grace (Douglas). He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
