He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burton and Eva Burton; his son Donald V. Burton, Jr.; and his siblings, Raymond Burton, Gladys Madison, Clyde Burton, Jim Burton, Sygle Burton, Evelyn Burton, Virginia Bryant, Maxine Kelly, Harold Burton and Douglas Burton.
He is survived by: his wife Freida Burton; his children, Brenda Hoff (Rick) of Hobart, Bruce Burton (Erin) of Valparaiso, Brian Burton (Candy) of Valparaiso and Anthony Burton (Christy) of Hobart; his grandchildren, Matt, Jake, Lillian, Josh, Olivia, Cooper and Jenna; and his sister Norma Blevins of Springfield, TN..
