He was predeceased by: his parents, Godfrey Richards and Mary Richards (Manion); his daughter Tammy Follis (David); and his brothers, Richard "Dick" Richards and Jim Richards.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Richards (Kleinwachter); his daughter Terri Richards of Tacoma, Washington; his grandchildren, Breana Born (Claudia) of Rhode Island, Nicholas Stevens of Michigan and Eric Richards of Washington; his sister Joan Luedtke (late Chuck) of Hobart; and his sister-in-law Audrey Richards of Hobart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
