It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles E. Zimmerman of Hobart, Indiana, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on May 2, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William Zimmerman; his former wife Jill; and his son Jonathan Zimmerman. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Zimmerman; his daughters, Sharlene Adams (Danny) of Portage, Ellen Cano (Patrick) of Crown Point and Colleen Kamieniecki (Juvi Bolanos) of East Chicago; his grandchildren, Leah, Bethany, Jade, Isaac and Noah; his sister Gail Singer of Calumet Township; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Michna (Jerry) of Highland and Laura Chapski of Portage. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be giving to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
