It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Slayden of Hobart, Indiana, who passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Slayden and Mabel Slayden (Johnson); and his siblings, Ruth Chittenden, Faye Bradley, Virginia Williams, Tom Slayden, Mark Slayden and Ted Slayden.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn; his children, Rick (Karen) and Kathy (Mike); his grandchildren, Shannon, Justin of Krystal, KC and Ashley; his great grandchildren, Jahnae, Jaiden, Shania, Brandon, Victoria, Dakota, Kaylee, Avery, Shelby, Canaan, Aubrey, Waverly, Carl, Cami, Jolene and Dawson; and his sister Jeanette Terry of Paducah, KY..
