She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Hummel; her son Larry Hummel; her great grandchild Olivia Hummel; her brothers, Evan and Alvin "Mike"; and her parents, Alvin Shafer and Florence Shafer.
She is survived by: her children, Todd Hummel (Maryann) of Hobart, Kent Hummel and Doneva Penix (Ronald) of Amarillo, Texas; her grandchildren, Dr. Randall Hicks (Jennifer) of Beaverton, Ryan Hicks (Julie) of Portage, Richard Hummel of Indianapolis and Eric Hummel of Hobart; and her nieces, Joanne Webb of Valparaiso and Shirley Sanders of Chesterton. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews; and other loving family members and friends.
