She was predeceased by: her parents, George Baker and Elaine Baker; and her sons, David and Robert Burkland, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Robert Burkland; her son Daniel Burkland (Debbi); her grandson Skyler Burkland (Kayleigh); her great grandchildren, Brody, Oaklynn and Knox Burkland; and her sister-in-law Jan Connell (Burkland). She is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

Memorial contributions in Barbara's name may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 356 W. 700 N. Valparaiso, IN 46385.
