With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy J. Painter of Hoagland, Indiana, born in Decatur, Indiana, who passed away on February 3, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Baumgartner and Myrtle Marie Baumgartner (Evans); her husband Lester L. Painter; her daughter Jill Kristen Painter; her brother Danny Baumgartner; and her daughter-in-law Judy Painter.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Lynne Williams (David) of San Antonio, Texas, L. Gary Painter, Chris Eric Painter of Hoagland, Indiana, David Dean Painter (Julie) and James Todd Painter (Rachel) of Berne, Indiana; and her siblings, Carol Seitz of Decatur, Indiana and Larry Baumgartner of Arizona. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Preferred memorials are to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven, Indiana.
