The passing of Charlotte L. Hockemeyer of Hoagland, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 2, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernst Brockmann and Norma Brockmann; her husband Melvin H. "Mort" Hockemeyer; and her siblings, Edward Brockmann and Anna Mae Brockmann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deb Hockemeyer of Hoagland, Indiana, Sharon Rosene (Mark) of Monroeville, Indiana and Susan Shollenberger (Mark) of Angola, Indiana; her grandchildren, Kristin Shoaf (Darin), Dale Rosene (Cassandra), Bree Wilson (Zak), Audrey Waldrop (Tyler), Kay Quandt (Josh) and Weston Rosene (Abby); her great grandchildren, Otto Rosene, Dean Rosene, Les Shoaf, Jaxon Shoaf, Oliver Rosene, Charlotte Rosene, Ava Waldrop, Cora Quandt and Mara Wilson; her brothers, Virgil Brockmann (Phyllis) of Fort Wayne and James Brockmann (Cheryl); her sister-in-law Barbara Gurney of St. Paul, Minnesota; and also Shirley Mailand. She is also survived by her family, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church – Flatrock (12912 Franke Rd, Monroeville, IN 46773).
