She was predeceased by: her parents, Orval Gilbert and Violet Gilbert (Jewel); and her siblings, Ruth McDowell, Iva Stevenson, Marvin Gilbert and Larry Gilbert.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond "Tony" Steffes of Hoagland, Indiana; her daughters, Debbie Zobel-Moughler (Chuck) of New Haven and Darla Zobel Balli of Lakeland, Florida; her grandchildren, Kyle Fry of Lakeland, Brandon Fry of Lakeland, Hannah Mosley of Lakeland and Faith Mosley of Lakeland; and also Trinity Morello of Lakeland, Florida.. She is also survived by seven step-children.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (12912 Franke Rd, Monroeville, IN 46773). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Preferred memorials are to St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock or Hoagland Fire Department.
