He is survived by: his spouse Cleola Russsell; his son Rex Allen Short (Melissa Sue) of Hillsdale; his granddaughter Alexis Marie Doss (Dustin) of Rockville; his siblings, Hubert Short of Hillsdale, Leon Short of Clinton, Ken Short of Russellville, AR, Dorothy Pearman of Hillsdale, Rena Jones of Bloomingdale and Donna Kitchens of Birmingham, AL; and his great grandchildren, Emmalyn and Callie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
