She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Dee and Clara Linda Bunch (Sowers); her husband O. Dean Sample; her children, Gary Sample and Rosealea Hazelrigg; and her siblings, Katherine Watt, Clara Christine Sample, Francis Lowell Bunch and Everett Carlson Bunch.

She is survived by: her son Larry Sample (Marilyn); her grandchildren, Kimberly Bryant (John), Clinton, Jennifer Hoagland (Todd), Sarah Bray (John), Brian Sample (Erika), Samuel Hazelrigg of Brownsville, TX, Allison Steiner (Andrew) and Jason Sample (Lauren) of Clark, CO; her daughter-in-law Elaine Sample; her half-sister Anna Marie Howard; and her sister-in-law Maxine Hoffman. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren.
