She was predeceased by: her parents, Mode Bowman and Virgie Bowman (VanKirk); her husband Homer C. McDonald; her siblings, Dr. Harold E. Bowman and Patricia Van Bowman; her siblings-in-law, Sally Merica Bowman, Virginia McDonald Fee and Leland R. Fee; and her sons-in-law, Steven Holt and Dr. Leonard Orr.
She is survived by: her children, Marsha McDonald Orr (Fred Kinderman), Alan McDonald (Rhonda), Kevin McDonald (Mary) and Sally McDonald (Rich Levin); her grandchildren, Adrienne Holt Hoagland (Brian), Carmel, Allison Holt Thacker (Mike), Alan Holt (Lindsay), Ross McDonald (Ashley), Morgan McDonald Sweet (Chris), Molly McDonald, Grant Levin, Kyle Levin and Andrew Levin; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan, Drew Hoagland, Taylor, Jackson McDonald, Emily, Megan Holt, Kate Thacker, Esti and Sia Sweet. She is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hillsboro United Methodist Church (107 Park Ave, Hillsboro, IN 47949). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at the Rose Hill Cemetery (735 Park Ave, Hillsboro, IN 47949).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeast Fountain Community Foundation (Homer and Esteleen McDonald Unrestricted Fund) or the Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
