He was predeceased by: his brothers, Michael Oslizlo and William Stoltz; and his son Adam B. Garvey. He is survived by: his wife Ada Oslizlo; his children, Steven L. Oslizlo II (Heather), Michele Jarvis (Tony), Nicholas Oslizlo (Melissa), Rodney Garvey and Ryan Garvey (Vicki); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Jacob, Kylee, Madelyn, Rodney Jr. of Edwin, A. J., Steven, Zachary, Adam, Gavin, Bryce, MacKenzie and Lucas; his great grandchildren, Bentley, Lucas, Levi and Charlie; and his siblings, John Oslizlo (Toni), Anne Nardone and Louise Alfano. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A reception was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center (8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322). A prayer was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location.
