He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Burns and Margaret Burns; his sisters, Helen, Lorraine and Dorothy; and his grandchild Kim Clardy.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille "Lou" Burns; his children, Debbie Burns, Kathy Hess, Bob Burns Jr., Lori Barta (Rob) and Shari Kolodziej (Ken); his grandchildren, Brian Hensley (Tracie), Kelly Renier (Darren), Bob Burns (Shauna), Jamie Trubach (Tim), Tom Burns (Erin), Kerri Dhlamini (Nqobile), Jenn Fandl (Steve), Megan Virosztko and Kelsey Barta; his siblings, Marie Sapyta (late Stan) and Jim Burns (Jan); his brother-in-law Jim Louis (Carol); his aunt Marcella Yatsko; and his friends, Bill McBrayer and Connie McBrayer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
