It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Meekma (Highland, Indiana), born in Munster, Indiana, who passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Kenneth Meekma; her husband Harold Meekma (Bud); her parents, Garret Drunen and Alice Van Drunen; and her siblings, Marion Bradley (George), Violet Terpstra (John), Sally Van Deel (Henry), Donald Van Drunen and Beverly Zuidema (Norman).
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Wiersema (late Ronald), David Meekma (Gail) and Paul Meekma (Kristen); her grandchildren, Timothy Wiersema (Tricia), Matthew Wiersema (Denise), Kathrine Smidt (Carl), Steven Meekma, Jennifer Yerks (Daniel), Jeffrey Meekma (Jennifer), Joshua Meekma, Teresa Perry (Michael), Kimberly Meekma, Michael Meekma, Mark Meekma (Sarah), Luke Meekma (Emma), Lauren Fortner (Adrian) and Levi Meekma; and her great grandchildren, Jessica Wiersema, Rebecca Wiersema, Benjamin Wiersema (Payton), Megan Wiersema, Minna Wiersema, Morgan Smidt, Amelia Meekma, Andrew Yerks, Emily Yerks, Hunter Meekma, Riley Meekma, Payton Meekma, Charlee Meekma, Nicholas Deja, Gracie Perry, Allison Perry, Alaina Perry, Graham Meekma and Miles Meekma.
