He was predeceased by: his wife Lynn (Bulla); his son Jeremy; his parents, George Novath and Betty Ann Novath (Galik); and his brother George Novath.

He is survived by: his sons, John (Carrie) and Jarrad Novath (Melinda); his grandchildren, Kaden, Kayla, Joshua, Addison, Abigail and Rilynn; and his sister Susan Bucko (Dave).
