It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Genevieve Zimmerman in Highland, Indiana, who passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Rohret and Helena Rohret (Kessler); her husband Lowell Zimmerman; her son Michael; and her siblings, Thomas Rohret and Helen Houseal.

She is survived by: her children, Patrick Zimmerman (Patricia) of Iowa City, William Zimmerman (Mashell) of Parnell, Richard Zimmerman (Joellen) of Parnell, Terrence Zimmerman (Kathy) of Oxford, James Zimmerman (Marissa) of Solon and Marisue Poock (Jim) of Parnell; and her sister Katie Hughes.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (4022 Cosgrove Rd SW, Oxford, IA 52322). Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
