She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph T. Smolen; her son Jon Smolen; her parents, Louis Beilfuss and Hazel Beilfuss; and her brothers, Louis (Buddy) and Larry Beilfuss.
She is survived by: her children, Claudia Matusik (George), Christopher Smolen (Tammy), Cathleen Micco (Robert) and Ronald Smolen; her grandchildren, Craig, Jeremy, Daniel, Alex, Shelbie, Sean and Kirstin; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Samantha, Cati Anna, Ivy and Emmet; her sister-in-law Susan Beilfuss; and her grandson-in-law Jospeh T Smolen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center (8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
