She was predeceased by: her parents, Olin H. Schamel and Iris Schamel (Tremmel); her stepmother Jessie Schamel; and her stepsister Marla Robels. She is survived by: her husband David E. Carroll; her son James "Jim" Carroll (Bonnie Grantz); her siblings, Cheri Boren (Dave) and Scott Schamel (Aneitha); her stepsiblings, John Black (Julie), Bill Black (Dawn), Jim Black (Debbie), Charles Black (Jane) and Cheryll Obendorf (Paul); and her nephews, Rob Boren (Dana), Mike Boren (Julie) and Trace Schamel.
