She was predeceased by: her siblings, Mary Lou Locke, Roscoe Smith, Anna Lee Smith, Ida May Morris, Cora Rebecca Kersey, Alice Jean Bringer, Helen Maria Calvin and Betty Jo Smith.
She is survived by: her parents, Louis B. and Lily Ann Smith (Bolly); her spouse James Robert Carter; her daughters, Hazel A. Amos of Muncie, IN and Janet M. Wells (Richard) of High Point, NC; her grandchildren, Scott Amos (Dee) of Summitville, IN, Janet Holcomb (Eric) of Indianapolis, IN, Carey Fisher (Jud) of Muncie, IN, Jeff Wells and Christy Meindl (Bob) of Kernersville, NC; her great grandchildren, Colton Fisher, Carter Fisher, Katheryn Ann Amos, Anna Meindl and Emma Meindl; and her sister-in-law Janet Smith of Henryville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
