He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion "Sade" Bottorff and Gladys "Toddie" Bottorff (Doughty); his grandson Ashley Hobson; and his siblings, Nancy Guernsey (Paul), Beverly Baumann (Fred), Marilyn Threkel (Thomas), Carolyn Anderson, Sharon Moulder (Bob) and James Bottorff (Emma).

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Bottorff; his children, Charles Aaron Bottorff (Lea Shane), Benjamin Phillip Bottorff (Andrea Leigh) and Lisa Ann-Louise Hobson; his grandchildren, Alexandria Matheis (Ryan), Taylor, Colton Bottorff, Olivia, Avery, Emerson, Griffin, Justin, Jonah, Eleanor, Jayden Bottorff, Lily and Eva Hobson; his great grandchild Roslyn Harper Matheis; and his siblings, Tim Sells (Jamesa "Sis"), Keith Bottorff (Rita) and Lynn Dennison (Boyd).
