He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellsworth Fender and Ila Fender (Cracraft); his daughter Rebecca Washel; and his siblings, Ted Fender, James Fender, Ann Robinson and Janet Sue Prince.
He is survived by: his daughters, Theresa Hargis (Daniel) and Vicky Mullins (Art); his grandchildren, Carrie Sowder (Mark Mitchell), Josh Washel, Jeremy New (Jessica), Zachary New Marshall Mullins (Jessica), John Mullins, Arthur Mullins III, Eli Hargis and Bruce Dillman; and his great grandchildren, Jacob, Tiffany Sowder, Gracie New, Zane New, Norah New, Gavin New, Hudson New, Aurora New, Ian New, Logan Honeycutt, Sophia Mullins, Mason Mullins and Ethan Mullins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
