He is survived by: his children, Gail Turpin (Greg) of Valparaiso, IN and Douglas DeFries (Lisa) of Kouts, IN; his granddaughters, Amber Barton (Chad) of Indianapolis, IN, Andrea Edgecomb (Don) of Wanatah, IN, Danielle DeFries of Kouts, IN and Nicole DeFries of Kouts, IN; his great grandchildren, Gage, McKenzie, Cassidy, Quinn Barton, Keira and Barrett Edgecomb; and his siblings, Don DeFries (Vicky), Carroll DeFries (Margie), Ben DeFries (Rita) and Edna Hoffman (Marty).
