We are sad to announce that on September 22, 2018, at the age of 91, Robert Surman Sr. (Hebron, Indiana), born in Gary, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his children, Robert L. Surman, II and Linda Surman-Knopic; and his siblings, Carl Surman and Grace Bullock. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Virginia Alvarez and Ricky Surman; his son-in-law Dennis Knopic; his grandchildren, Robert Alvarez (Dawn), Stephanie Knopic and Margaret Knopic; and his great grandchildren, Jessica Alvarez, Dustin Williams and Gabriel Knopic. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
