He was predeceased by: his father Vernon "Butch" Little Childress Jr.; and his grandparents, Lee, Marge Kalvaitis, Vernon and Maysie Childress.
He is survived by: his mother Karen Childress (Kalvaitis); his wife Katie Childress (Schulatz); his son Eldon Laurence Childress of Hebron, IN; his siblings, Lee Childress (Kelly), Kristie Riffe (Bill), Katie Hoffman (Aaron) and Kyle Childress; his in-laws, Larry and Cathy Schulatz (Worst); and his brother-in-law Carl Schulatz (Angel). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
