He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Mae Dick; his sons, David Spurr (Pat) and Kevin Spurr; his grandson Dennis Knighton; his great grandchild Kiara Starr Spurr; his parents, James O. Spurr and Martha L. Spurr; and his sister Patsy Everett (Bill).
He is survived by: his children, Diana Strickland (Alan) of Hebron, Barbara Knighton of Hebron, Karen Yankauskas (Paul) of Hebron, James Spurr (Susan) of Hebron, Jennifer McKenzie (Anthony) of Winter Haven, FL and Rachel Thornton (Larry) of Elizabethtown, IL; and his sister Doris Alexander (Frank). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
